The Honourable Dr. Reza Moridi

The Honourable Dr. Reza Moridi, PhD, is a distinguished scientist, educator, public policy leader, and former Ontario Cabinet Minister. He served as Ontario’s Minister of Research, Innovation and Science and Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, following his election as a Member of Provincial Parliament for Richmond Hill. Throughout his career, Dr. Moridi has championed education, scientific research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and access to post-secondary education. He holds degrees in Physics from Tehran University and Brunel University London, including a PhD, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics and the Institution of Engineering and Technology in the United Kingdom. Dr. Moridi continues to contribute to Canada’s education, research, and innovation communities and is a strong advocate for empowering the next generation through education and opportunity.

Dr. Iman Sheydaei

Dr. Iman Sheydaei is a sociolinguist and a lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research examines the intersection of language agency and ethnic identities, with a particular focus on Americans of Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) descent.

Dr. Hussein Farsani

Hussein Farsani, Ph.D. holds a doctorate in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics and is a Professor of ESL at Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada. A CELTA tutor and IELTS specialist, he has taught children and adults across public schools, private schools, and universities in Canada and internationally since 2001. His expertise spans language teaching, assessment, teacher education, and multilingual learning.

Dr. Mohammad Sharifi

Mohammad Sharifi-Tehrani, Ph.D. is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Business, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Malaysia. His recent research focuses on qualitative and quantitative methodologies, emotion, governmentality, and social entrepreneurship in the field of tourism. He serves as the Regional Editor for West Asia and as a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Tourism Research. He has published in leading tourism and business journals, such as Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, and International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.

Dr. Ali Alaghbandrad

Dr. Ali Alaghbandrad received his PhD in Building Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal in 2021. His research has been published in journals and presented at international conferences. He has held the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential since 2019 and has worked in web and software development and programming since 2021. He also has several years of experience tutoring university and high school students in Canada.

Amir Ali Bozorgnia

Amir Ali Bozorgnia is a PhD student in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo’s Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing (MSAM) Lab. His current research develops real-time, sensor-based monitoring for Directed Energy Deposition, using machine learning and signal processing to detect defects and enable closed-loop process control in metal additive manufacturing.

This work builds on his master’s research at Ontario Tech University, which focused on recycled polymers and carbon-negative composites for 3D printing: circular-economy feedstocks that turn waste streams into viable engineering materials. That research resulted in several peer-reviewed publications.

Alongside his research, he has three years of experience as a Teaching Assistant across three universities and a dozen undergraduate engineering courses, spanning tutorials, laboratory instruction, exam design, and student mentoring.
